Brayden and I had a date night tonight. I have to say it was one of the best dates that I have been on in a while! (Don't tell Kent). We headed to the Spokane Indians baseball game. He has been asking to go ever since June 17th, the last game we went to. Finally, we had a night free. Kent was planning on taking him, but he caught my cold from last week. YAY for me, I was so excited to be able to go and spend that time with my boy. He chatted the whole way there, glove in hand, cap on head, and notebook in his lap, so he could keep track of the runs.
We rounded the corner in the parking lot and the line to buy tickets was sooooo long. He was frustrated because we could hear the game starting. We waited and waited, after about 10 minutes a nice man walked over and asked if we were in line to buy tickets. "Yes." Thinking, ' That's what ALL these people are doing.' Good thing I was nice and used my manners because this man gave us two FREE tickets! On top of that, they were in the "grotto" which has real seats, not bench seats, and it's right on the grass in right field. I couldn't believe it. Brayden just kept saying, "whoah," we thanked him profusely and scurried into our seats. When we got there the section leader gave us a FREE program. Brayden was in heaven. He got to look at all the players and their numbers and their pics. He was busy!
I bought B a hot dog and two bites into it he kind of started freaking out. I looked over and his mouth was open with food practically falling out. "What are you doing?"
"My toof is coming out." I couldn't believe it, normally his teeth take MONTHS to finally fall out. He just told me it was loose a few days ago. Sure enough that sucker came right out. Blood, shock and a little tooth all at once.
After all that excitement we were able to watch the game. It was much better than the season opener that we saw in June. It was a close game 3-2 when we left in the 7th inning, we were winning! On the way out we got autographs from Otto and Doris, the mascots. Brayden was on cloud 9, it was so fun to see him enjoy himself so much. My heart was full! Thanks for being a fun date B!

It is time to indoctrinate Brayden. In this family we "root" for only one (1) professional baseball team and that is the the:Chicago White Sox.
Glad you had a good time at the game, BTW: what is the going rate for teeth in Greenacres?
