Since my twin girls were born, it has been quite apparent which one is "my" daughter and which one is Kent's. "My" baby girl has always been social, outgoing, chatty, emotional, impulsive, energetic, happy, giggly, dramatic and a loving care taker. Kent's baby girl has been shy, more withdrawn, stubborn, a plan in mind at all times, sneaky, directionally inclined (She is my GPS), intelligent, reserved, STRONG-WILLED cuddly, and very observant.
Today, "my" girl made me so happy and proud. We found some pink soccer shoes at a consignment store. Ellie carried them around the whole store, put them on in the car, and grabbed a soccer ball and hit the grass as soon as we rolled in. She has been talking about playing soccer non-stop! :)
It has helped that her big brother has been playing for two years and she has been keenly observing from the sidelines.
Brayden was right there with her, teaching her all of his moves!
Here is "Kent's" girl. Happily observing from afar on the deck. Dani refused to even try on shoes, OR touch/carry them. I let her know that she too is signed up to play in a couple of weeks.....that may be a battle not worth fighting....
Coach Brayden teaching the tap and drag technique "For when people are in front of you." She is in good hands! :)
I love my children more than anything and as they grow it has been amazing to see their unique personalities shine through. Some traits I refuse to claim, and some I claim as mine, but whatever memory, melt down, happy moment, frustrating time we experience, they are all mine (and Kent's)!

Very well expressed....it just keeps getting better as they grow...cherish these days, as difficult as they are sometimes, and never close your eyes.
